Authenticity
We aim to be authentic while holding healthy boundaries. We're all human, and we take a humble approach — meeting people where they are is key to growth, for helper and helped alike.
We exist to help those in need, raise survivor voices, and be the net for people who have fallen — or are at risk of falling — through the cracks of systemic gaps.
We help people lead more authentic, healthier lives by supporting their mental health through a range of methods, tools, and approaches. We're especially proud of our work with youth — through counselling, through welcoming them into our centre, and through our Girl Code program, where girls are mentored by older teens alongside guest speakers, BIPOC influence, and a portion for parents. More recently we created Queer Code, so youth who may not identify as female can experience the same safe spaces and mentorship through a queer-centred lens.
We're driven by a single goal: to do our part in making the world a better place for all. Our decisions are informed by research, by participant and client feedback, and by careful evaluation. We build productive relationships and aim to make a positive impact in everything we pursue.
ElevateHER provides trauma-informed and survivor-led mental health support to marginalized communities — inclusive of all ethnicities, socio-economic statuses, and gender identities (queer, trans, non-binary, two-spirit, or however someone may identify).
Using a person-centred approach, our purpose is to empower people — regardless of background — to discover their authentic selves and live a life of meaning and purpose, free of poverty and the systemic injustices that put them in vulnerable situations. Together, we can advocate for positive community change, compassionate problem-solving, and social justice for generations to come.
We provide many forms of mental health support and programming to folks ages 12+. A few of the values that guide us:
We aim to be authentic while holding healthy boundaries. We're all human, and we take a humble approach — meeting people where they are is key to growth, for helper and helped alike.
Communication — verbal, written, and non-verbal — is how we express feeling, build relationships, and share information. We foster these skills with our community and partners for holistic, wrap-around care.
Cultural identity is key to a life of meaning. We value every cultural group, weave cultural values into healing, and connect people with cultural supports in their own communities.
We create non-judgmental spaces that accept all lifestyle choices and meet folks where they are — never forcing a pace they're not ready for. We encourage healthy choices while honouring that there's no single right way to live.
Truth and reconciliation guide how we design programs, build partnerships, and show up for community.
